The tradition continues on January 1, 2027, at the Papp László Budapest Sportaréna!
On January 1, 2027, Mága Zoltán’s Budapest New Year’s Concert will take place for the nineteenth time.
The 19th Budapest New Year’s Concert promises a spectacular show, breathtaking visuals, and performances by Hungarian and international guest stars. Some of Hungary’s most distinguished actors and legendary performers, who represent the enduring values of Hungarian culture, will once again return to the stage of this traditional New Year’s celebration.
This grand concert offers a unique experience for both Hungarian and international audiences. Each year, approximately 13,000 spectators attend the event in person, while television broadcasts bring the concert to millions of viewers around the world.
The event also symbolizes Hungary’s rich cultural heritage and the spirit of international unity. Over the years, internationally renowned artists have performed at the concert, including David Foster, the 16-time Grammy Award-winning pianist and composer, world-famous opera singer Aida Garifullina, and internationally acclaimed violinist Shlomo Mintz.
Hungarian performers have included Artists of the Nation, Kossuth Prize-winning artists, legendary actors, and some of the country’s most outstanding popular music performers.
The 10th anniversary Budapest New Year’s Concert was featured in a special television program produced by PBS, one of the leading public broadcasting organizations in the United States. The program was broadcast during prime time to a potential audience of approximately 110 million viewers. This brought the Budapest New Year’s Concert to wider recognition overseas while also providing an exceptional opportunity to showcase Hungary’s rich cultural heritage and the values of Hungarian musical traditions to an international audience.
The 2027 gala concert will once again provide an opportunity to express gratitude and appreciation to those who dedicate their lives and work to serving the people of Hungary. Healthcare professionals, law enforcement officers, teachers, social workers, and child protection professionals will be invited to attend the Budapest New Year’s Concert in recognition of their outstanding and essential contributions to society.
Continuing a tradition established in previous years, disadvantaged children from Roma and non-Roma communities, as well as young people living in state care, will once again be invited to the New Year’s Concert. Supporting future generations remains a central part of the event’s social responsibility initiatives.
Audience members will also have the opportunity to purchase special supporter tickets and VIP passes. These tickets not only provide access to this extraordinary musical celebration but also allow guests to contribute directly to the concert’s charitable initiatives. Proceeds from VIP supporter tickets will help support disadvantaged children.
Don’t miss this extraordinary evening! Join us for a magical gala performance by Mága Zoltán, Liszt Ferenc Prize-winning violinist, and experience the inspiring and unforgettable moments of this special New Year’s celebration.
