General Services

Depending on the event, hostesses and security staff assist guests with entry and orientation inside the building.

At the reception desk opposite the main entrance, visitors can request information about the current event as well as upcoming programs.

Inside the building, 12 concession stands are available for guests, and during events up to 16 cloakrooms operate throughout the venue. The cloakroom fee is HUF 500.

The baggage storage fee is HUF 1,000 per item.

The building is fully accessible: wide, barrier-free corridors assist guests with reduced mobility. In addition, several accessible restrooms are available throughout the Arena.

General Technical Description

The service facilities on each level of the building are as follows:

Service Level / Arena Floor Level:

  • 6 restrooms (each restroom contains approximately 20 toilets on average)
  • 2–4 cloakrooms
  • Storage rooms / warehouse facilities
  • Artists’ area: star dressing rooms, team dressing rooms, multifunctional rooms, medical room, production areas, offices, staff dining area, etc.
  • Truck entrance and parking area
  • Main Entrance Level:
  • 23 entrances
  • 10 concession stands (+ 2 hot dog counters, popcorn)
  • Information desk opposite the main entrance
  • 2–6 cloakrooms
  • 2 multifunctional halls (450 m² each), which can also be converted into a press center

  • 20 skyboxes with 12–16 seats each

The parking garage and the different levels are connected by 6 passenger elevators, 2 freight elevators, 2 main staircases, and several additional staircases.

Lighting & Sound Systems

Sound System

The Arena’s sound system primarily consists of 50 loudspeakers mounted on the ceiling. The system allows for the designation of different zones, making it possible to play audio only in specific areas of the Arena.

This system is primarily suitable for speech amplification, but it can also support smaller music events, sporting events, exhibitions, ice shows, and family events. The sound system is also available on the Arena Deck.

Lighting System

The Arena is equipped with a sports lighting system consisting of 180 fixtures, providing uniform illumination of 1200–1400 lux.

For musical and stage productions, we typically use the so-called show lighting system, which consists of nearly 200 ceiling-mounted 1kW lighting fixtures with adjustable brightness.

Scoreboard and Projection System

The octagonal display installed in the center of the Arena serves a dual function.

On its main sides (North, South, East, West), there is a color active video wall (LED wall; color resolution: 16,000,000 shades), capable of displaying appropriately formatted live or still images.

Between the color displays, at the corners, there is a high-brightness single-color display that can be used as an information board or scoreboard.

Each panel is 2 meters high and 3 meters wide, slightly tilted downward on its supporting steel structure. The suspension height of the structure can be adjusted upon request.

The primary venue for exclusive business meetings is the Suite Level located on the second floor of the building. The premium services associated with this level offer clients unique representation opportunities, distinguished attention, and an unparalleled concert or fan experience. Budapest Arena ensures that Suite Level guests can build new business relationships or strengthen existing ones while enjoying the event.

The twenty premium-designed suites located here offer capacities ranging from 9 to 16 guests. Each suite includes a private seating area, foyer, wardrobe, dining area, and a private restroom.

Dedicated parking spaces and private-access elevators ensure an exclusive VIP arrival experience for suite guests.

SkyBar

Sky Bar

The SKY BAR is another premium business VIP area of Budapest Arena, located on the top level of the building, on the third floor. Thanks to its elevated position, it offers a perfect view of the events taking place on the arena floor and the stage.

It provides 135 seats arranged at restaurant-style tables and is available with a complete service package for long-term or occasional rental.

Conferences

The Papp László Budapest Sportaréna, as one of Central Europe’s most modern arenas, with its arena floor expandable up to 8,000 m² and numerous multifunctional section rooms, is an ideal venue for international conferences.

More than half a million guests attend the diverse programs of BudapestArena each year, including concerts, exhibitions, family events, and corporate functions.

  • Plenary session across the entire area: up to 11,000 participants
  • Separable conference and exhibition area: 2,000–6,000 participants

Multifunctional Rooms

  • 4 halls of 450 m² each on the main entrance level and the upper level, with a maximum capacity of 300 people per hall
  • 1 hall of 860 m² on the arena floor level, divisible and fully carpetable

Advertising Area

The Papp László Budapest Sportaréna welcomes guests on more than 100 event days each year with an exceptionally diverse program, including concerts, sporting events, exhibitions, and conferences. During our events, an average of more than 750,000 visitors arrive at Budapest Arena annually, all of whom encounter the content displayed on our advertising surfaces.

Acoustic Wall Logo

A large wall logo placed on the acoustic wall above the second floor. It is illuminated during entry, intermissions, and exit, and remains clearly visible during the event as well. The logo appearance can be complemented with advertising on the LED wall at the main entrance and on the central display located above the arena floor.

Sector Branding

During ticket purchase, the sector naming appears already on the seating map, and the naming partner is also displayed on the purchased ticket as part of the sector name. Naturally, the naming partner’s logo is also displayed at the sector entrance on-site. The logo appearance can be further enhanced with advertising on the LED wall at the main entrance and on the central arena display.
