The AWS band is reaching the biggest milestone of its career: on 14 November 2026, it will celebrate its 20th anniversary with a major arena concert. The evening will be more than just a show — it will be a one-off, career-spanning celebration bringing every era of the band’s past two decades to the stage.

Formed in 2006 as a high-school band, AWS built its career step by step, touring clubs across Hungary before moving on to sold-out tours, headline shows at Budapest Park and appearances on the main stages of major festivals. In 2018, the band captured the attention of Hungary — and Europe — after winning A Dal and going on to represent Hungary at the Eurovision Song Contest final in Lisbon.

Their journey, however, has not been defined by success alone. In 2021, their singer and songwriter Örs Siklósi passed away unexpectedly. The band nevertheless decided to continue, drawing strength from the legacy of their friend and moving forward with a new line-up but the same determination. The years since have proved that the story of AWS did not come to an end — it entered a new chapter.

The 2026 anniversary concert will be a complete celebration of this 20-year journey. The setlist will feature defining songs from the band’s early club years, anthems from their Eurovision era, as well as highlights from their post-loss rebirth and the Fonogram Award-winning album Innen szép nyerni.

Another special feature of the evening will be the Madách concert material, which was brought back to the stage last year to great success. Previously performed in a theatre setting, these rearranged songs will now receive a new interpretation on the Arena stage, showcasing the full musical spectrum of AWS in a single evening — from intimate acoustic moments to their heaviest metal sound.

The band emphasises that this will not simply be another stop on a tour, but a unique anniversary event created specifically for this occasion. From the visual production and special guests to the dramaturgy and song selection, the show is being designed as the ultimate celebration of the past twenty years.
