A new album, reworked songs, a band made up of friends and a visual production created exclusively for this occasion. Analog Balaton are preparing for the biggest headline show of their career so far, taking place on 6 February 2027 at Papp László Budapest Sportaréna. Aba Zsuffa and Ákos Vörös will perform with a full band for the first time, joined by musicians who are not only their creative partners, but also an important part of their everyday lives.
Formed in 2017, the duo have built their distinctive musical world primarily through club shows and festival appearances. At the beginning of 2027, however, they will take the stage with a production on a scale unlike anything they have done before. “An arena show only makes sense if a band wants to create something truly special that simply would not be possible anywhere else,” they explain.
One of the most important new elements of the evening will be the full-band setup. Analog Balaton will still be centred around Aba and Ákos, joined by Zaza, drummer of 30Y, and Dexter, member of Vad Fruttik as well as the duo’s producer and sound engineer. Their choice was a deliberate one: rather than putting together a one-off backing band, they wanted to share the stage with people with whom they have built long-standing musical and personal relationships. As Aba describes it, “a little family will be stepping onto the stage.”
At the Arena, the songs will be performed in newly arranged versions. Some elements will retain their electronic character, while others will be reimagined using completely different instruments. The set will not only feature songs audiences already know: the duo are also working on a new album ahead of the Arena show, which fans will have the chance to hear live for the very first time.
Visual experimentation has always been an important part of Analog Balaton’s identity, and this time the entire production will be designed around the scale of the Arena. The visual concept is being created specifically for this occasion, with solutions and ideas that could not be realised in the same way at any other venue. “We want to create a night that stays with you forever, like a scratch that, whenever you look at it, reminds you just how big we went,” Aba says.
On 6 February 2027, the stage of Papp László Budapest Sportaréna will therefore be much more than just another stop in Analog Balaton’s concert history. It will mark a new scale for the duo, bringing together their familiar electronic sound with a full live band, new songs and a visual production created exclusively for this one special night.
